NEW SEWER CONNECTION

Domestic & commercial

If you have a new property and mains drainage (foul or storm water) is available then it is likely that you will require a sewer connection. As most sewers are in the public highway any excavation will come under The New Roads and Street Works Act 1991.

MTM are accredited contractors and we can apply on your behalf to obtain a road opening permit. All the documentation will be carried out by ourselves and we will arrange all necessary inspections.

Sewer connections do require some initial planning and we would be pleased to offer our advice for your project.

How much does it cost to connect to the public Sewer?

The total cost will depend on a number of circumstances. These include your location, distance from the public sewer and your needs. Please call us on 0800 160 1130 to discuss.

Roadworks for a New Sewer Connection

HIGHWAY EXCAVATION & ROAD OPENING (New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 NRSWA), SEWER CONNECTIONS.

If your drain line leading from your property to its connection to the main sewer is damaged then a Road Opening Licence will be required to undertake the highway excavation. You are normally responsible for this section of pipework and often the main sewer is located in the public highway outside your property.

MTM are Street Works Accredited Contractors and can, therefore, undertake these works on your behalf or directly for your drainage insurance company. We can carry out new sewer connections, see (new sewer connection).
