The Clearwater Aeroclere range of submerged aerated media package sewage treatment plants have been developed to operate unobtrusively below ground.
The treatment plants give a high level of sewage treatment with the least disturbance, while still allowing full access for service and maintenance.
Each Aeroclere installation comprises of fully enclosed units installed below ground level. All access is via a manhole lid, flush to the ground.
First, coarse solids are filtered and retained for gradual breakdown. Then the resulting liquid is continuously distributed over a plastic suspended filter by an integral lift, powered by a remotely sited blower.
Finally, the solids are allowed to settle and, under normal domestic conditions, treated water of 20mg/l BOD, 30mg/l S.S., 20mg/l Ammonia can be achieved.
